Winter Won't Stop The Romance

~ Winter Won't Stop The Romance ~

During the winter months the cold weather might seem to put a damper on your date night options. Here at DiamondWave.com, we do not let the dreary weather get us down. Check out our date ideas that can help brighten things up a bit.

Get Out of the House:

It might be cold outside, but that’s no excuse to miss a date night opportunity. Get out and enjoy the weather (bundled up of course) and get to know your significant other a little more. If you live in cold climates, give ice-skating, sledding, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing a try. For warmer areas, a nice hike might be just what you need to get the blood pumping again.

Take me to the movies:

The time right after Christmas is one of the peak times for new movie releases. Make it a goal with your loved one to see all of the Golden Globe Nominees for “Best Picture” and try and narrow down which one you think will win. If you’re seeing someone new, the movies are still a classic option, but don’t forget to leave time for conversation afterward.

“What’s your most popular dish?”

Sure everyone is making New Years Resolutions to get healthy, but that doesn’t mean you have to turn off you’re love of food completely. Make a goal with your significant other to try one or two new restaurants a month. This will get you out of your routine and perhaps out of your zip code.

Cultural dates:

The winter months tend to be significantly slower for museums and art galleries, so it is a great time for you and your loved one to get out and enjoy the day. Not limited to museums, be sure to check out plays in the community, special exhibits and any performances by local artists.

Chef it out:

If you and yours have a passion for cooking, or trying something new, why not checkout a local cooking class? Places like Sur La Table and Whole Foods Market offer classes, as well as select restaurants. Do some investigating in your city and see what it has to offer to budding chefs.

The key to a great date night isn’t about what you do, but more about that you do it together and you both enjoy yourselves. Hopefully these ideas inspire a few of your own!
